Analog Sunset
February 2008 wireless carriers will no longer be required to support analog wireless networks.Several major carriers have announced their intent to deactivate their analog network as soon as practically possible following this date. The security industry has worked diligently to extend the date, but the ruling has been upheld by the FCC and the change is now imminent.
How Does This Effect You
As a result of this ruling, and the anticipated loss of analog wireless phone backup service, the wireless analog device that is a part of your security system will need to be replaced with a digital device prior to February, 2008.
What Action Do You Take
If you are a existing Systems By Design customer, Then should have received a letter informing you of this deadline. If you received a letter than this means that you do have a analog wireless device, and service will be discontinued as of February 2008. Give us a call today.
If you have a wireless backup device connected to your existing system, and do not know if you will be effected by this please give us a call so we can help to insure that you backup service continues.
If you know that you have a analog wireless backup device. Then you will need to have it replaced with a approved digital wireless backup device. Give us a call before it's to late.
